Prayer Breakfast

Ladies join us in prayer over the next few months for WABC, our families, our community and our nation. Then join the women of WABC November 6th for a prayer breakfast hosted by Erica Morrison. On December 4th at 8 AM the Women's Ministry will connect with the Men's Ministry for a combined prayer breakfast.

WABC Women's Day 2011

Thank you WABC women for your support of our Annual Women's Day celebration. When I looked out and saw all you ladies looking refreshed and beautiful in your yellow I was so proud to be in service to the WABC family and the Women's Ministry team. Congratulations goes out to WABC's "Women Of The Year" Jenette Sapp! Special thanks to her family for showing up to support her on such a special day and to the church body for honoring her. Don't forget that our celebration ends on this Saturday at 1 PM when we honor the "Legends" of WABC our seasoned women. The luncheon is free and open to all of the women at WABC.

It's Time To Spread Our Wings And Fly!

Hi ladies! Its been a long time, but its a brand new year, a new season and we are starting fresh here at WABC Women's Ministry! Starting with our annual Women's Day program. This year the theme is "A Fresh Start" Women Leading and Living With Purpose! In the spirit of a fresh start we will be hosting our Women's Day program on Sunday May 15th at 11:30 AM. The speaker will be our very own Lady J! The following Saturday (May 21st at 1 PM) the Women's Ministry team invites you to a free luncheon at WABC where we will honor the "Legends" of WABC, our "seasoned" women. So ladies pull out the brighest yellow outfit you own and get ready for a Fresh Start! For more info please speak with Cyndi Jennings.

Lady J (Cyndi Jennings) Bio

Cyndi Jennings has been married to Marcus Jennings for nearly 29 years. She is the mother of three adult children, TJ, Quisha and Nicki. She is a retired SAHM of over twenty years! Lady J worked side by side with her husband in youth ministry for nearly 16 years. She now leads the Women's Ministry Team at WABC and acts as an advisor to the Youth and Young Adult Ministry. She is a member of the Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows Alliance of Tidewater, a Founding member of Women In Touch Ministries and C0-Founder along with her husband of Blended Souls Network, which strives to purposefully unite Pastor and Ministry Couples from various denominations, generations and ethnic backgrounds together to partner, share ideas, and fellowship with one another . She is the owner and operator of Treasured Creations and is an Event Coordinator and Custom Scrapbook Artist.

Our Vision

The Women’s Ministry of Woodland Ave Baptist Church exists to equip the woman of WABC to reach out into our community, to their family and friends with a message of hope and healing. WABC Women’s Ministry is committed to providing “Real” fellowship through Bible Study, Mentorship, Workshops, and various other events geared around woman from within and without Woodland Ave Baptist Church. We also strive to make a “Real” difference in our communities by providing hands on service to women and children.
